Best Time to Post WhatsApp Status in Nigeria
There is no single best time for every business. Here are good times to test in Nigeria, and how to find the time that works for you.

Why timing matters
A status stays up for 24 hours. Many people check new updates soon after they appear, so posting when your contacts are free gives you a better chance of being seen.
Times to test in Nigeria
These are starting points to test, not rules.
- Early morning (about 6am to 8am): people check their phones before work, school or the market.
- Lunch time (about 12pm to 2pm): many people take a break and scroll.
- Evening (about 6pm to 9pm): people are home from work and relaxed.
- Late evening (about 9pm to 11pm): people are in bed with their phones.
Think about who your contacts are
Students, office workers, traders and parents all have different free times. A student may be online late at night. A trader may check in during quiet hours at the shop. Think about your own customers first.
How to test it in one or two weeks
- Pick two time windows, for example 7am and 7pm.
- Post similar types of status in each window for a week.
- Before each status expires, open it and write down the views.
- Compare the averages and keep the better time.
Other things matter more than timing
- How many people have saved you. A perfect time does not help if few people can see you. See how many contacts you need for 1000 views.
- What you post. See what to post to attract customers.
- Posting regularly. People watch accounts that post often.
Do not flood your status
Posting ten updates at the same minute can annoy people, and some will mute you. Spread your posts through the day instead.
